Measurements are of the garment, not the child. Cut roomy to layer. If your child is between sizes, size up.
Not Just a Kids Coat.
The Little Bear.
We didn't set out to make outerwear. We set out to make the thing your child asks for by name — the one that goes on over pyjamas for the school run and comes off last at bedtime.

The Hood, and Two Small Ears
The ears are the whole point. Two small rounded ears sit on top of a generous hood, cut from the same long pile as the coat, so they hold their shape whether the hood is up against the wind or pushed back down the shoulders.
- Attached hood, cut generous
- Two rounded ears in matching fur
- Holds its shape hood up or down
- No drawstrings or toggles

Cropped, and Roomy With It
A short, boxy body that stops at the hip and never rides up when arms go over a head. Cut wide enough that a jumper goes underneath without bunching at the sleeve, which is the difference between a coat that gets worn and one that gets argued about.
- Cropped at the hip
- Wide, full-length sleeves
- Room for a jumper underneath
- Plain centre opening, no hardware to catch

A Colour for Every Kind of Day
Snowfall, Blush, Chestnut, Sky and Lavender. Chestnut is the one that reads most like an actual bear. Snowfall is the one that photographs in the snow. The rest are there because children have opinions.
- Snowfall, Blush, Chestnut, Sky, Lavender
- Colour-matched hood and ears
- Sizes 2T through Youth M
The Kids Coat That Gets Worn
Every F&O piece is built to survive a childhood and still look like something you chose on purpose.
Ears On Top
Two small rounded ears on the hood, in the same fur as the coat. The detail every child notices first and every parent gets asked about.
Cropped to Layer
Short in the body and wide in the sleeve, so it goes on over whatever they are already wearing without a fight.
Five Colourways
From Snowfall through Chestnut to Lavender, each with a colour-matched hood and ears.
2T to Youth M
Seven sizes, roughly two years to ten. Cut roomy, so if your child is between sizes, size up.
Faux, Always
Entirely faux fur. No animal fur anywhere in the coat, and never will be.
Small Batch
Made in small runs rather than warehouses full, which is why there are five colours and not fifteen.
Questions about The Little Bear
Is the fur real?
No. The Little Bear is made entirely from faux fur — no animal fur is used anywhere in the coat.
How warm is it?
Warm enough for a cold, dry day and a long walk home. The pile is thick and the body is cut roomy so a jumper fits underneath without bunching.
What sizes does it come in?
Seven sizes, 2T through Youth M — roughly 2 years to 10 years. The size chart lists garment measurements; the coat is cut roomy to layer, so size up if your child is between sizes.
How do I clean it?
Spot clean with a damp cloth and let it air dry. Do not machine wash or tumble dry — heat mats the pile. A gentle brush afterwards brings the loft back.
Does the hood really have ears?
It does. Two small rounded ears sit on top of the hood, in the same fur as the coat. They hold their shape whether the hood is up or down.
